The Golden Key
In The Golden Key, Jonathan Quintin has created an intelligently beautiful animation showing the ubiquity of the golden ratio, phi, ϕ, in nature. It seamlessly embeds considerable scholarship into an artform, revealing the artful science from cosmological breadths to the minutiae of DNA. In so doing it also illustrates the way fundamental patterns play a role in space, time and life.
Of course this particular pattern, which is simply a ratio, the most virtual of entities, a potentiality capable of actualising in innumerable forms of materiality, is only one of an interlacing matrix of patterns involved in the constituting of anything.
In our work we are deeply involved in observing the specific patterns operating within organisations and how light-touch changes can edge them towards the particular pattern of patterns that enables them to be tuned to their best. We see for example has service, talent and moneymaking patterns are woven into actions that embed visions of the future. Our Virtuoso® methodology is one of the key ways of doing this, but it is part of a family that includes professional skills in precise (phenomenological) observation and modelling.
